USS Enterprise passes Ballaist Point. Pachesa on Ballast Point dock where the Cape Jellison was on "Bravo 0" Bravo 0 meant the Jellison had to go out immediately when called. Bravo 2 means that the crew had two hours to get back to the ship. The Jellison was almost always on either Bravo 0, Bravo 2 or Bravo 6. This was in the days before pagers and cell phones. If you went anywhere, and you couldn't go very far, you had to call the ship every so often to be sure you didn't have to come back. We always made sure to carry a lot of change for pay phones. |
